Breakthroughs in Collagen
PURIGENEX’s flagship products are collagen-based intensive skin therapies: ICS Intensive Collagen Serum and ICM Ionized Collagen Mask. These formulas are medically engineered with the world’s most highly purified atelocollagen — a truly non-immunogenic, bio-compatible element in the most active animal-source form. Collagen of this quality has never before been offered in topical cosmetic preparations. ICS and ICM are FDA-registered, preservative-free formulas that are highly tolerated by even the most sensitive individuals.
These products are indicated for all who are seeking to prevent and repair their skin from aging, sun damage,
discolorations, and acne scarring. Regular, directed use will boost the skin’s own collagen integrity, to make it appear plumper, smoother, more supple, and more youthful. Additionally, skin nourished with PURIGENEX collagen is able to function more effectively as part of a healthy body’s natural defense system.

Advanced Dermal Technology
PURIGENEX is an innovative body care brand founded on the principle that healthy skin leads to better health. This doctor-approved line for men and women focuses on extraordinary, unique products with therapeutic properties that help to nourish skin, release impurities, and combat aging.
PURIGENEX is committed to sourcing the finest formulations and active elemental ingredients in the world, in order to reconnect skin care to an optimal wellness regimen. Our collagen preparations represent pioneering
molecular chemistry and the newest bio-engineered delivery systems — truly enhanced therapies of the highest potency, affinity, and assimilation. We also offer skin purifying products made of rare compounds from the tropics of Hawaii, volcanic mountains near the Himalayas, and the herbal practices of Korea and Japan –remedies that honor the ancient botanical medicine of the East. PURIGENEX products act to rehydrate cells, balance electrolytes, soothe inflammation, and draw toxins away from the sub-dermal lymph and fatty tissue.
Atelocollagen
Collagen is nature’s most abundant protein polymer. It has a triple helical polypeptide structure with antigenic formations called “telopeptides” at each end of the molecule. Telopeptides are the major cause of immune reactions to proteins, because they are unique to each individual. Consequently, general collagen can cause an allergic response or rejection in up to 20% of treatments.
In atelocollagen, the telopeptides are removed from a Type I collagen molecule, creating a far more viable, non-immunogenic form of the protein. Furthermore, atelocollagen is much higher in density than general collagen; so, it is easily absorbed into the skin.
PURIGENEX’s atelocollagen was originally developed by distinguished researchers as a medical grade raw material for tissue regeneration. Now it has been adapted for transdermal cosmetic use, providing the most highly purified, safe, bio-compatible collagen available with rare to no side effects.
Negatively Ionized Collagen
Low Solubility | High Solubility
Type I collagen is typically dissolved in an acid solution of less than pH 4.0. This creates many restrictions for collagen used as a cosmetic material, which requires low acidity (pH 5.5 – pH 6.5).
Our researchers have developed a proprietary method for overcoming collagen’s acidity and improving its solubility factor for increased penetration into the skin. They enhanced the hydrophilic properties of Type I atelocollagen through succinylation, deriving a negative ionization of the molecule.
Normal skin has a negative ionic charge, while the cellular membrane of aged skin develops an increased positive ionic charge. Improved osmosis of PURIGENEX collagen is achieved when negatively ionized collagen creates an electrostatic interaction with the skin. In this way, absorbed negatively ionized collagen penetrates deep into the dermal and basal tissue, increasing proliferation of the body’s own collagen, and helping to activate dermal cell regeneration.
As compared to PURIGENEX collagen, general collagen is not easily absorbed into the skin by topical application. This is due to its larger molecular size and lack of negative ionic charge. Most collagen cosmetics are only able to form oil membranes in the outer dermal layer of the skin, whereas our negatively ionized atelocollagen deeply assimilates into the skin.

Active collagen loses its therapeutic properties at high temperatures because heat loosens the triple helix structure of the protein. This causes the amino acids in collagen to denature and break down. Most commercial collagen preparations are manufactured at high temperatures and distributed at room temperature, leading the triple helical protein to unravel. Collagen preparations of this nature are called “hydrolyzed collagen” or “gelatin”. Gelatin products advertised as collagen in many cosmetic creams and lotions are just simple proteins which may hydrate the skin; but, they lack the biologically active properties of true collagen.
Inactive, or resolved, collagen has been found to inhibit the function of surrounding cells when applied to the skin. In contact with this material, the skin cells’ ability to compound collagen is decreased. This can lead to deeper wrinkles and decreased skin elasticity. Accordingly, collagen preparations for the skin should be produced and supplied at cold temperatures. ICS and ICM are formulated with purified porcine-source atelocollagen at cold temperatures, and should be kept in refrigeration at 39-50ºF.

Therapeutic Benefits of ICS and ICM Collagen
Skin Lifting
Skin recovers elasticity after using PURIGENEX collagen.
ICM Ionized Collagen Mask penetrates cells and increases the strength and tone of loose or aged skin tissue. This mask also potentizes the skin for deeper penetration of ICS Intensive Collagen Serum.
ICS Intensive Collagen Serum nourishes and fortifies the skin and activates the body’s own collagen generation.
Prevention and Improvement of Fine Lines and Wrinkles
Cell aging is delayed by collagen and hyaluronic acid. These ingredients smooth and fill fine wrinkles in the epidermis, and promote cell regeneration in the basal layer of the skin. Wrinkling of the neck and around the eyes will appear to be reduced as the improvement to the epidermis lifts and conceals deeper creases in the dermal layer.

Pore Minimizing
Collagen and hyaluronic acid increase the hydration of the skin surface, absorb excessive sebum, and weaken the sebaceous glands. Together these compounds work to regulate sebum secretion, activate the regeneration of cells close to the broadening pore, and gradually, minimize the pore.
Diminishing of Acne Scars
Collagen promotes tissue regeneration in areas of the skin affected by scarring and acne. One of collagen’s functions is to create a matrix that holds the dermal cells intact and helps them migrate up to the surface layer of the skin. When new cells move upward, deep pockets in the skin tissue are filled, and the appearance of depressed scars is diminished. Collagen will also help to augment the integrity of the dermal cells by combining with the connective tissue in the skin to improve elasticity and organization. The movement and processes of healthy new skin cells are possible through this collagen reaction.
In addition, hyaluronic acid suppresses the dark pigmentation and discoloration caused by acne, laser treatment, and the interaction of oxygen free radicals with ultraviolet rays.
